Sustainability is at the heart of Haig Park Village Markets. From the businesses we choose to work with, to the way our visitors travel, shop and enjoy the markets, we are continually looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact and inspire positive change within our community.
TRAVEL SUSTAINABLY
We encourage visitors to walk, cycle or catch public transport to the markets, with light rail and bus connections close to Haig Park. See our Location page for more information.
BRING YOUR OWN
Bring your reusable coffee cup, water bottle and shopping bags. Small choices each Sunday can make a big difference.
LOCAL & LOW IMPACT
We prioritise local and regional producers and actively seek organic and spray-free growers, helping support a more sustainable food system.
PLASTIC FREE FOOD
Our ready-to-eat food stalls are single use plastic free, helping reduce unnecessary single-use waste across the markets.
LEARN & GET INVOLVED
We host sustainability-focused events, workshops and activities that connect our community with practical ways to live more sustainably.
